A family vacation home in the vineyards, this project includes a 3,500 square foot farmhouse and detached 1,500 square foot guest house. Strong symmetry informs the layout of the spaces and details, from the wrap-around 15 foot-wide porch to the central staircase. Leaded glass doors and windows with colored glass inserts set off wood siding, interior wall paneling and hardwood floors. The landscape design includes ancient olive trees, a kitchen garden, a lavender field, and exquisite natural stone walls and other rockwork.
